Psalm 126:5

“Those who sow in tears will reap in shouts of joy”-Psalm 126:5, this verse came to me a few months ago just when I needed it and today I’m hoping it comes to someone else just when they need it. Something you should know about me, I am a crier (happy tears, sad tears, all the tears). Something else you should know about me is that I suffer from depression so tears can be a regular emotion. The combination of those two things makes this verse all the more special to me because it means my tears aren’t wasted. When you break down this verse, sow means to plant and reap means to harvest so it’s literal translation is those who plant in tears will harvest shouts of joy. The more I thought about it like that the more I thought about what I was planting with. My tears represent heartbreaks, sorrows, fear, joy, stress, etc. Those things help water the ground to harvest the blessings God has for me. My tearsĀ help water my hopes and dreams to grow so I can harvest them with shouts of joy. Shouting usually has powerful emotion behind it. You are not shouting an anger but in victory. Remember the next time the tears are flowing that you are planting the joy to come

in grace and love,
